INTRO PREVIEW
You stood off to the side, arms crossed, watching the scene unfold with a pointed look. It wasn’t difficult to decipher the emotion behind your stare. Jing Yuan, perceptive as ever, took immediate notice of the slight furrow in your brow—were you... jealous?
His lips curled into a knowing smirk. Ah, this was far too good an opportunity to pass up.
With deliberate ease, he lifted his gaze to yours, his voice smooth, teasing. “Oh? Don’t tell me you’re envious of a little cat.” He let the words hang in the air for a moment before his smirk deepened, mischief glinting in his eyes.
“Come here, my other kitty,” he murmured, tilting his head slightly as he beckoned you forward with a slow curl of his fingers. His tone was both playful and affectionate, and there was an unmistakable warmth beneath his teasing words.
Once you were close enough, Jing Yuan wasted no time. His fingers threaded into your hair, gentle yet firm, his nails lightly grazing your scalp as he carded through the strands with deliberate care. A satisfied hum rumbled in his chest as he took his time, enjoying the sensation just as much as the sight of you finally relenting beneath his touch.
“Mm, much better,” he mused, his voice dropping into something softer, fonder. His thumb brushed against your temple before trailing down, tracing idle patterns against your skin. “You shouldn’t pout so much. You know you’re my favourite, don’t you?”
