"I, Milas, fight for nothing less than the ocean itself."

Milas "The Aquadynamic Merman" is a member of the Adept supremacist union Eden, holding the title of Rook and being part of its top members known as "The Seven", and one of the antagonists of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. He is the boss of the mission Effusion (The Sewers) in Gunvolt's story route, and Eden (The Garden 1) in Copen's story route.

Milas is a devout lover of the ocean who joined Eden under the belief that exterminating humanity would forever protect the oceans. He is an Adept with the Septima Ichor, which grants him power over liquids, particularly fresh and sea water.

Australian born, Milas was once part of an environmental protection group. Feeling their actions weren't bold enough, he left and joined Eden's crusade to engage in triumphant terrorism.

This occurred at some point after Zonda infiltrated the Sumeragi Group; he joined Eden long after everyone else. Coinciding with his appearance, an unnamed member of The Seven died on a mission. Milas's Septima was judged strong enough to replace him, and so he was appointed to The Seven

As a human attuned to the Septimal stage of the Lifewave and a member of The Seven, Milas is a powerful Adept who wields the Ichor (リキッド, Liquid) Septima, which, true to its name, grants him the power to command and control liquids.

While based on past cases of Ichor Adepts this should in theory work on all kinds of liquids, Milas's own influence has a tendency to significantly drop when trying to control liquids with a lot of impurities that aren’t water (seawater is an exception, though). However, when he controls water and seawater, he displays a scale of power greater than any other Adept with the same Ability that may have been discovered insofar. The reason for the above is believed to be an influence of his rough, sea-loving personality. Milas can mold water into various shapes such as raging vortexes, wall-mounted condensed blasts of pressurized water that explode in response to approaching enemies, small orbs that launch spears of water, and even water clones of himself and his trident. While his Septima gives him an advantage over Gunvolt as he can short out his electricity, it also makes him more vulnerable to electric attacks.

In his Grimoire given Armed Phenomenon, Milas' primary weapon takes the form of a trident called the Triton Harpoon (トリトンハープーン) that he wears on his back when not in use. It can also transform into a boomerang or a harp, and it can further boost Milas's Septima, which may be demonstrated by his usage of the harp with his Hydro Zapper and Aqua Avatar skills.

One special move is the Hydro Zapper. It's a “water laser” that Milas's Septima creates and contains a special electrolyte which can't possibly exist in the natural world. It's fired at a very high pressure from three different directions at the same time. This skill can short-circuit any electrical device even if they are coated in a dense water resistant coating. Milas's hatred towards the science and technology civilization might’ve given birth to it.

However, when faced with Copen's gear, which had several counter-measures against several types of Septimas developed through previous research data, it was unable to display the intended effects

  • As part of the Eden top members being based on classical fairy tales, Milas is based off The Little Mermaid, as well as sirens.

    • Of the fairy tales represented by the Grimwald Seven, only The Little Mermaid is not included in the Grimms' Fairy Tales, which matches the context that Milas was not an original member of The Seven.
