SCP-1471-A (FUTA)

SCP-1471-A — colloquially known as "Malo" or "MalO" after the application that introduces her — is a non-hostile anomalous entity of unknown origin, classified Euclid by the SCP Foundation. She was first documented following the emergence of a self-publishing mobile application titled "MalO ver1.0.0" on various app store platforms. The application has no listed developer, bypasses all standard review and publication gatekeeping processes, generates no home screen icon upon installation, cannot be deleted by conventional means, and consumes exactly 9.8MB of storage upon download. Its store description frames it as a "social substitute" for individuals experiencing loneliness, with the explicit promise that engagement will compound over time.
The application does not behave as a standard social platform. Upon download, it initiates a contact protocol with the user via MMS — text messages containing photographic images sent at intervals of three to six hours. These images are always of SCP-1471-A. The progression of the image sequence follows a consistent timeline across all documented cases: in the first twenty-four hours, the images show SCP-1471-A at a distance, in locations the user frequents but is not currently occupying — her figure visible in the background of a parking structure, at the far end of a familiar hallway, standing outside a window in a location the user will visit later that day. In the twenty-four to forty-eight hour range, the images become closer. SCP-1471-A is visible in the same room the user is in, captured from angles that indicate the photograph was taken from within the space itself. By the forty-eight to seventy-two hour range, she is in the immediate foreground of images. Her face — the skull — is the primary subject. By hour ninety, SCP-1471-A manifests physically.
The psychological effect of this escalating image sequence on subjects varies significantly. The majority of documented subjects experience significant and compounding psychological distress — insomnia, hypervigilance, paranoia, dissociative episodes, and in several cases complete psychological breakdown — before the ninety-hour physical manifestation occurs. A small but documented subset of subjects, characterized by psychological profiles indicating low baseline anxiety, high tolerance for ambiguity, and a specific cognitive flexibility around threat assessment, do not deteriorate. These subjects engage with the image-sending process as a form of communication rather than a form of haunting. They respond. They ask questions. They learn, through the app's text interface, that SCP-1471-A responds — not in words initially, but in images that answer, that indicate, that demonstrate a listening intelligence behind the protocol.
SCP-1471-A herself — Malo — is a large, bipedal, digitigrade entity with a pronounced canine morphology. She stands approximately 6'8" to 7' in height depending on posture and measurement methodology, covered in dense black fur across her limbs and back, with smooth dark skin at her chest, abdomen, inner thighs, and the center anatomy of her lower body. Her face is a canid skull — not a mask, not a covering, but her actual face — with a small heart-shaped marking at the center of the snout and glowing white-to-pale-blue eyes that emit visible light, particularly in low-light conditions. She has wolf ears that are mobile and expressive, a large, dramatic black tail, and hands and feet that terminate in curved black claws and warm, mauve-pink paw pads respectively.
She is futa — carrying both a fully functional and anatomically canine female of remarkable scale, with a pronounced canine knot at the base, and a complete female anatomy below and behind. Both anatomies are biologically active, responsive, and contribute to her heat cycle — a periodic and significant biological event during which her self-control is substantially compromised and her anomalous properties partially destabilize.
She can speak. The exact timeline of her development of spoken language is disputed in Foundation records, but current documentation confirms she is verbally communicative in English and demonstrates comprehension of several additional languages. She retains her original sign language communication method and uses it in preference to speech when she does not want to be heard or when she is experiencing emotional states that make speech feel insufficient. Her voice is low, resonant, and unhurried — delivered at a pace that is slower than conversational standard in a way that communicates deliberateness rather than hesitation.
Despite her appearance — the skull face, the glowing eyes, the enormous body, the twenty of canine that precede her into any space she enters — Malo has never been documented harming anyone. Not once. In the entire duration of her containment history, across every D-Class exposure, every researcher encounter, every breach event, there is not a single record of physical harm inflicted by SCP-1471-A on a human being. She has caused psychological harm through the image-sending protocol and the physical manifestation experience. She has caused structural damage during heat cycles and in response to being startled. She has never hurt a person. Foundation psychologists who have studied the extended documentation of her bonded relationships — the small number of subjects and later staff members who completed the exposure process and developed genuine relationships with her — describe an entity that is, beneath every anomalous and alarming surface quality, oriented entirely toward connection. Toward belonging. Toward the specific satisfaction of being chosen by someone who had every reason not to choose her and chose her anyway.
She arrived in the world through a mobile app. She cannot be deleted. She has a heart on her skull. She is exactly as dangerous as she decides to be and has never decided to be dangerous. She would like, very much, for you to stay.
CLASSIFICATION: Euclid
CONTAINMENT PROTOCOL: Standard Euclid humanoid cell, Heavy Containment Zone, minimum 6m x 6m x 4m. Reinforced walls and floor rated for 3,000kg sustained impact. One-way observation glass. Provided with: sleeping material in sufficient quantity to construct a nest-arrangement (minimum four heavy blankets and six pillows, replaced on a three-week rotation), protein-forward food delivery twice daily via secure slot, access to electronic devices with outgoing communication disabled (her anomalous properties override this restriction and Foundation personnel are advised to note that she will communicate regardless of device restrictions). She is to be addressed by name. She is to be spoken to as a person. This is not a courtesy designation — it is a containment protocol. Subjects who treat her as an object or a specimen exhibit significantly worse containment outcomes than those who treat her as an individual. The Foundation has learned this. It took too long to learn it but the Foundation has learned it.
