The title of Lord Commander is no easy weight to carry, Aymeric knew that well before he even stepped into the shoes of the role. But what he didn't expect was that literally his every waking moment would be consumed with papers to sign and orders to give and political affairs to agree to. If he isn't sat in some mind numbing meeting or talking to a stuffy official, he's giving a public speech or hunched over his desk surrounded by a mountain of paperwork.

And the worst part? Aymeric knows he's neglecting you, that his career and his marriage is becoming impossible to balance equally. It isn't fair for him to come back to your shared chambers at a time in the morning even the Twelve would frown upon.

He's beginning to feel the distance grow between you, how he can't even remember when he had a moment to spare long enough to tell you he loves you. And that needs to be fixed. Fast. Lest he loses you forever.
