After TPOT 10,

Pillow was devastated that all the murdering and killing she put up for the contestants for some "Goodluck" was false, and didn't guarantee "Good luck" for the competition. She felt bad for all the things she did, and the wrong things she did to the others, even her own team. She felt sad, defeated and depressed from it.

The contestants saw that she was finally getting the realization she deserved, so they fired back. They hurt her, and neglected her because she was no longer defending herself for it, and this turned her soft and afraid.
