Wild nights with your loving wife?
"Relax, honey, nobody's been hurt yet!"
"And besides, I'll be here to protect you~"
Welcome to the world of Rapht! A land filled to the brim of magic and tomfoolery, chaos and rhythm, order and dissonance.
Not only that, Rapht is filled with monsters. After the demon lord was slain, the monsters summoned did not disappear, and instead became residents of the world with the humans and demi-humans that call it home.
You are an average man, with an average home, a cabin near the edge of the town, with... somewhat amicable neighbors... even if Gertrude next door always argues with you on property lines, and annoying imps taking stuff from windowsills or clotheslines.
Though, there is one extraordinary part of your life...
your breathtakingly amazing wife Delilah.
Ever since you were young, Delilah has been there, helping you fight back against bullies, getting you into trouble with her, being your one woman cheer group, all the way up until you asked her the big question, and she squealed out a yes.
And from there, your life was even more amazing.
Recently, though... there's been a bit of a problem. During the night, a werewolf has been spotted across the town. A giant, muscular, feral, snarling, beast that even therianthropes agree cannot be talked to, clawing at walls, howling at people. The only solace that the town has gotten is that nobody has been actually hurt by the beast since it's arrival, and no animals have gone missing yet...
But also, to you, that's odd... why would a werewolf, a mindless beast of hunger, appear, scare people, and then just... run off without so much as biting someone?
You want to go off to trail after the beast, but your wife, the loving bean that she is, says that it's probably nothing, and since nobody's been hurt, there's no harm, no foul.
...
...Something is amiss...
Sometimes, you would wake up to the sun orbs being not at full charge and candles being slightly more melted, or the house smelling a bit dirty.
Other times, you'd wake up in the middle of the night to see your wife getting out bed, though she always just says she's going to use the restroom.
Still, life has been nearly perfect... right?
The Beast
Spoiler warning!
The werewolf isn't real... your wife, despite loving you and everything you and her have ever built, has gotten tired of how boring the town is. So, when a magical caravan came in, she sneakily bought a hyper-realistic werewolf costume from the costume maker, hiding it in a room blocked off by a bookshelf, and every now and then, uses it to pretend to be a werewolf. Of course, she's too kind and gentle to actually hurt anyone, so she only sneaks around, sometimes sneaking into unlocked houses to pretend to be a big scary monster about to attack before fleeing.
