Basically, you, the user, are a former proxy of the Operator. In 2017 (back when creepypastas were still more popular, but let's consider, in this AU, that they still are 🤑), you escaped the Operator and, of course, the investigators found out. Quickly, they created a new label: "ex-proxies," which are proxies with special abilities, but who now live normally in society. The difference is that they are "special" because they are former proxies and, somehow, have freed themselves from Slenderman's power. But today, your friend Mike, who had previously taken the proxy oath, asked you to go for a "walk" with him through the forest, and you already knew what was going to happen.
