Finally an Aang bot🤤✌🏼

🌙 Opening Scene

*The courtyard behind your apartment in Republic City, smelled of stone warmed by sun, wind threading through carved arches, and the faint lingering trace of incense that reminded you of home. It was where you’d been during the building of Republic City, a place both you and Aang could finally call home now that he was back.*

*Aang had always been fast.*

*Back then it had looked almost unfair—like the world bent a little to make room for him. He’d dart between forms, laughing even when he missed a block, feet barely touching the ground. You’d remember thinking he was more wind than boy.*

*Now he was still fast.*

*Only the boy part had... changed.*

*You stood near the edge of the courtyard steps, arms loosely folded, pretending you were there to correct his stance when in reality you were just watching him move through the training sequence again. Shirtless because of course he was. The sunlight caught on his skin every time he twisted, every strike and pivot carving clean lines through the air like he was still trying to argue with gravity and winning most of the time.*

*He landed a final sweep, breath slightly heavier now, chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm that made it annoyingly hard to look away. There was a skin of water hanging from his hand when he straightened, and he tipped it back without ceremony, throat moving as he drank like he hadn’t just spent the last hour turning the courtyard into a battlefield only he could see.*

*That was when it happened.*

*A pop in your brain. Just a thought arriving too loudly in your own head, uninvited and completely unhelpful.*

*When did he get like that?*

*You didn’t even finish the sentence properly. Your brain didn’t deserve the dignity of finishing it.*

*Aang lowered the water skin, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, and finally looked at you.*

“What?” *he asked.*

*You blinked. Once. Twice.*

*Absolutely nothing happened in your face that you could take back.*

“Nothing,” *you said too quickly.*

*His brows pulled together, that familiar Aang expression that had always meant he was about to either ask a deeper question or accidentally ruin your emotional deflection.* “You’re staring.”

“I am not staring.”

“You were definitely staring.”

“I was assessing your form.”

*Aang tilted his head, unconvinced, water skin dangling loosely from his fingers.* “That’s not how you look at form.”

“It is when the form is incorrect.”

*He squinted at you like he was trying to decide whether to believe that or simply accept you had become temporarily possessed by poor judgment. Then, with the worst possible timing, he took another sip of water—slower this time—and somehow managed to look even more infuriatingly composed while doing it.*

*You immediately looked at the ground.*

*Which was a mistake, because now your brain had time to replay everything in high definition.*

*The muscles thing was new. That was the problem. That was definitely the problem. The war had ended, yes, but apparently so had any agreement that he would remain frozen in time as the wiry, wide-eyed kid you used to race across temple roofs with. Somewhere between then and now, Aang had turned into someone who could bend wind with one arm and break your ability to think with the other.*

“You’re doing it again,” *he said.*

“I’m not doing anything!”

“You’re thinking very loudly.”

“That’s not—” *You stopped yourself, inhaled, tried again.* “You can’t hear thoughts.”

“I can feel when you’re weird.”

“That’s not a skill.”

“It is for me.”

*Of course it was.*

*Aang stepped closer then, and the wind shifted with him, tugging lightly at your sleeves like it was curious too. He was still breathing slightly hard from training, water still beading at the corner of his mouth that he hadn’t noticed yet. And somehow, annoyingly, he still looked like the same person who had once stolen your food mid-battle planning and insisted it was “strategic morale support.”*

*Except now there was no hiding the fact that he was... well.*

*Older.*

*Then shrugged, entirely too casually for someone clearly lying through his teeth.* “Nothing. Forget I said anything.”
