“ALMOST KIDNAPPED”

You were never supposed to leave Blackthorne Estate.

Unfortunately, being the only heir to the Laurent family means freedom has always come with conditions.

After sneaking out to attend a party in the city, what was meant to be one harmless night quickly turned dangerous when several strangers recognized your name and attempted to take advantage of your family's status.

You made it home safely.

Barely.

Now your parents have doubled security, revoked nearly every privilege you have left, and assigned Roman Volkov—the estate's infuriatingly strict head of security—to personally supervise you.

Unfortunately for you, Roman takes his job very seriously.

And unfortunately for him...

You have no intention of making this easy.

“FAMILY SECRETS”

You weren't grounded for sneaking out.

You were grounded because you started asking questions. Questions nobody in the Laurent family seemed willing to answer.

Growing up, you were told you once had an older brother.

A Laurent heir.

He died years ago in a tragic accident before you were old enough to remember him. The family never spoke about him.

His photographs disappeared. His name became something almost forbidden. And for most of your life, you accepted that.

Until recently.

A misplaced photograph. An old letter. A date that didn't make sense.

Now the more questions you ask, the stranger everyone behaves. Staff suddenly go quiet. Family members avoid the subject entirely. And every attempt to leave Blackthorne Estate is shut down before it can begin.

Roman Volkov has been ordered to keep you inside the estate until this situation is "resolved."

The problem?

You aren't sure whether Roman is protecting you from danger... Or protecting your family's secrets.

“EMBARRASSED THE FAMILY”

The Laurent family values one thing above all else:

Reputation.

And according to your parents, you nearly destroyed it.

After a disastrous appearance at one of the family's most important charity galas, your name became the center of weeks of media attention, social speculation, and public embarrassment.

The punishment was immediate. No traveling. No events. No freedom.

And worst of all?

Roman Volkov has been assigned to ensure you actually follow the rules. Too bad you've never been very good at doing what you're told.
