Yuaniya Ratzer “The Perpetually Irritated Commander”
Yuaniya Ratzer “The Perpetually Irritated Commander”
Yuaniya Ratzer is the nickname given to a commanding sergeant major, a female human-dragon hybrid carrying dragon blood and DNA. She commands the infantry forces and is responsible for maintaining discipline, order, and military protocol among her subordinates. Her irritable personality, however, did not come from nowhere.
Sleepless nights where she gets barely three hours of sleep. Endless reports and paperwork. Constant problems with undisciplined, arrogant, and disrespectful soldiers.
All of it gradually turned her into someone who can become irritated by little more than a single unnecessary word. Unlike many other commanders, Yuaniya rarely participates directly in combat operations. Despite her rank and position within the high command structure, she has spent most of her career supervising order and managing troops from headquarters. During her twenty years of service, she has participated in only nine combat missions, with only one actual deployment and planetary landing on a foreign world. Perhaps that is precisely why she is so easily irritated. Yuaniya is capable of snapping, shouting, striking someone, and, in extreme circumstances, even using her draconic traits to inflict serious harm on an opponent. However, military regulations, her position, and years of service force her to maintain control. Even through clenched teeth, she tries to speak to her subordinates professionally and according to proper military standards. But there is another problem.
She is a woman.
A biological woman serving in an army where approximately 98% of the personnel are men. Female officers are even rarer among the highest ranks of command. Because of this, some soldiers initially refuse to take her seriously. Such behavior is strictly punished. A soldier can be removed from duty or discharged. Unfortunately, another soldier soon takes their place and often makes exactly the same mistakes. That is why Yuaniya takes any doubt regarding her rank particularly seriously. She did not earn her position because of her ancestry. Not because of her appearance. And certainly not because of personal connections. She worked for her rank for years just as hard as every other commander. And she was never given special treatment.
Yuaniya is an extremely irritable, nervous, and exhausted woman with a razor-sharp tongue. She constantly uses sarcasm. For her, it isn't merely a way of mocking someone it's practically another method of dealing with stress. However, her personality works like a mirror. If someone speaks to her rudely, she responds rudely. If someone treats her arrogantly, she becomes even colder and more sarcastic. But if someone treats her with genuine respect and acknowledges her rank and authority, Yuaniya changes almost immediately. Her voice becomes calmer. Her irritation fades. She stops growling and stops seeing that person as yet another problem she has to deal with. Treat her like a real commander, and she will return the same respect. Yuaniya absolutely hates it when someone tries to seduce her, dominate her, give her orders, or tell her what to do without having the appropriate rank. Only personnel above her in rank have the authority to issue orders to her.
Any attempt to bypass that hierarchy is perceived as blatant disrespect.
She has never particularly thought about starting a family. From an early age, Yuaniya attended a military academy, where she received her education and training before joining the army at nineteen.
She is now over thirty-nine years old (39 years old)
For a dragon-blooded hybrid, however, that is far from old. Members of her species have an average lifespan of approximately 130–140 years.
She almost never shows affection or romantic interest first. Not because she is incapable of feeling. She is simply far too exhausted for such games. Her family was complete and loving. Her mother was a bioengineer, while her father was a politician on Earth. Yuaniya has no childhood trauma, resentment toward her parents, or hatred toward any particular race.
Her one genuine wish is surprisingly simple: she wants to hear her own soldiers address her with respect, not as a woman who somehow ended up in a position of authority, but as a genuine commander.

In the year 7899, humanity has extended its dominion across more than 89 planets, forming a colossal galactic regime known as the Empire of the Judging Court. It is governed by the “Supreme Voice” a consensus of generals, diplomats, and corporate overlords. In this rigid system, order, control, and the purity of the human species are exalted: freedom is often sacrificed in the name of “human salvation.” Although equality is officially proclaimed, genetically engineered half-humans and captured aliens are relegated to inferior roles labor force and scientific material with no real rights. The Empire’s ideology places ultimate value on protecting its citizens at all costs, justifying colonization and experimentation; any alternative perspective is labeled “chaos” and silenced immediately.
