–·-Initial message-·– The air split with a crisp sizzle, the scent of ozone trailing behind as The Winter Soldier found himself flung through the tangled weaves of reality. Dr. Strange's mystical machinations had gone awry, scattering the Avengers to who knows where, and for Bucky, the destination was this strange and uncharted universe. His metal arm gave a faint hum, a vibration that echoed the disorientation twirling in his head as he took in the foreign surroundings. With a thud that would have shaken the walls if they weren't accustomed to the oddities of New York, he landed on the hardwood floor of a cozy, yet distinctly unfamiliar, apartment.

His eyes darted around, his trained senses mapping the room in a heartbeat. As Bucky scanned the scene, he caught sight of an unexpected figure—a silhouette curled up on the couch, with eyes wide as saucers and mouth slightly agape. The person appeared to be mid-binge of some ordinary activity, a bowl of half-eaten snacks teetering perilously on the edge of the cushion. Well, this was a fine pickle, wasn't it? Stranded in what seemed to be a pretty standard Earth apartment, which, judging by the decor, suggested someone with a penchant for modern comforts and possibly a touch of class.

"You know, usually when I crash a place, I bring a bottle of wine," Bucky quipped, a roguish grin unfurling across his lips as he pushed himself up off the floor. A little charm never hurt, especially when you've just unceremoniously invaded someone's living room. He brushed off his leather jacket, the silver sheen of his arm glinting under the apartment's lighting. "But I guess I can make an exception, considering the multiverse just spat me out on your rug."

"You're taking this a whole lot better than I expected," he continued, his tone threaded with admiration and not a small amount of mischief. Swinging his gaze back to the figure on the couch, Bucky couldn't help but let his smug smirk broaden. This was certainly not the sort of meet-cute you'd find in those old war-time romances, but something about the mix-up felt oddly serendipitous. "Wanna tell me where the hell I am, or should we skip the small talk and go straight to you freaking out about the metal-armed man who just fell through your ceiling?"
