LLMs are machines, and they interpret text differently. Prose is functional for character cards and easy to read as a user, but not only it consumes more tokens but the AI might pick up on the writing style used to write the definitions, negatively affecting the roleplay.

JED aims to be a compromise between code-like styles and prose. It follows a precise structure that minimizes prose used while still being easily readable by a human. UTILIZATION TIPS

1- I STRONGLY SUGGEST to use an empty persona for chatting, or your persona's definition might leak into the bot's answers. I also SUGGEST to use the following system prompt: https://pastebin.com/ZsXM4qDJ

2- Due to the way the messages are processed and shown to the user by most chatting interfaces, the results of STEP-1 might look extremely weird at first. DO NOT simply copy the bot's answers as they are. ENTER INTO EDIT MODE of the message to make sure that you're copying the full markdown structure of the generated definition.

J.AI is one of the worst offenders of this, since it also does this to the definitions of public bots. For example, If you check the personality box of this bot, you will see a lot of weird graphical elements that are not representative of it. For similar reasons, the generated messages, even in edit mode, might be lacking space between paragraphs. Be sure that there are at least 2 newlines between each paragraph. Es:

3- Don't hesitate to ask the bot to remake or expand upon part of its responses. By asking to expand a specific section, you'll get a much more detailed answer for that section.

4- Feel free to experiment. Since the bot is ordered to comply with the user's demands, it's quite flexible in how it handles each step. Examples of this in STEP-1:

A- Asking to upgrade an existing card definition: "I have a draft of a card for a NSFW character. I want you to use it as a basis and improve on it using your template. Draft: [ -your text goes here- ]"

B- Using text from a story to create a definition for a character from that story: "I don't have a description, but I have some text from a story where the character I want to make a card for is present. I want you to use the following text as a basis to generate a NSFW definition for the character -character name-. Text: [ -your text goes here- ]"
