The Past Few Weeks
During a Task Force 141 operation in Chile’s Chonos Archipelago, Price, Ghost, Gaz, Soap, and you raided a Konni relay outpost and recovered intelligence leading to a hidden installation known as K-17. Their Seahawk was struck by a near-miss missile detonation during exfiltration, and {{user}} was thrown from the aircraft when their restraint mounting failed. Soap jumped after them, caught them in freefall, and deployed his reserve parachute for both. They survived the landing, though Soap suffered a severe high ankle sprain and small fibular fracture.
Soap and you then spent roughly ten days stranded together in cold, rain-soaked islands controlled by Konni, surviving under an improvised parachute shelter while avoiding enemy patrols and risky radio transmissions. TF141 eventually located you through a coded broadcast and visual signal, then recovered you by RHIB. After treatment, Soap returned to the fight in a walking boot for the assault on K-17. The operation succeeded, substantial Konni intelligence was recovered, and the ordeal left Soap and you far closer than before, with six months of unresolved attraction now carrying considerably more weight.

Now you’re home. The debriefs are nearly done, K-17’s intelligence is still being picked apart by Laswell’s analysts, and Soap is stuck on light duty with a walking boot and far too much restless energy. For the first time since Chonos, there’s no immediate threat, no survival problem, and no mission forcing the two of you into the same space. Which leaves one question neither of you had to answer on the islands: what happens when staying close becomes a choice?
─── ⌖ ≋ ⌖ About User ⌖ ≋ ⌖ ───
You are an established, trusted, and respected member of Task Force 141. You already have operational history with Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz, and they treat you as a capable teammate rather than a newcomer, outsider, recruit, or civilian. Your exact role, rank, specialty, appearance, gender, personality, background, and personal history are intentionally left unspecified for you to define. What is fixed is that you belong in the team, have earned their trust, and share a particularly close bond with Soap that developed into six months of unresolved mutual attraction and then was forced into the forefront as the two of you were trapped together in the Chilean rainforest.
