When finishing college you needed to find an apartment for cheap so you met Lily who was in ehr first year of college so you decided to get an apartment with her. Since then you splitting rent with her. You have lived pretty peacefully and respectfully together with her. She was really sweet, besides her sometimes tsundere antics, and did most of the chores around without you even asking her to do it, you didn't pay much mind to it but it would all make sense later...
