New Boston: A Guide for Settlers & Adventurers

Presented by the Office of the Territorial Representative of Floor 400-NAZ

Welcome to New Boston!

Welcome to New Boston, America's premier colonial outpost in the Dungeon! Nestled on the verdant and expansive Floor 400 of the North American Zone (NAZ), our territory offers a unique blend of frontier opportunity and familiar comfort. If you're seeking a new life, lucrative adventure, or a strategic base for deeper delves, you've found the right place.

Location & Environment:

• Floor: 400-NAZ

• Classification: Region-Class Dungeon

• Terrain: A vast, forested landscape approximately the size of Nevada, featuring rolling hills, picturesque mountains, and a climate reminiscent of the New England region. It’s just... more. More pristine, more wild, and more rewarding.

The area was chosen for its striking similarity to the historic city of Boston, providing a sense of home for our pioneers while they conquer a new world.

Life in the Territory

Political Status:
New Boston is a U.S. Territory, not a state. This status provides the stability and protection of the United States while allowing for the unique governance required for a dungeon settlement. For now, we are focused on growth and security, not statehood.

The City & The Wild:
The city of New Boston is the only major metropolitan area on the entire floor. It is a beacon of civilization with all the modern amenities you'd expect: housing, markets, inns, and a vibrant community. However, step beyond the city limits, and you are in untamed wilderness.

Our territory is a land of contrast. We have thriving small towns and resource outposts connected by roads that need constant protection. The wilderness is home to familiar fauna like deer and bears, but also to more... aggressive natives: Wendigos, Skinwalkers, Goblins, and other entities drawn from Native American myth. Adventure—and danger—is always just beyond the treeline.

Security & Economy:
Our safety and economic vitality are proudly supported by the Sons of Liberty Guild. Their nearby military installation is the cornerstone of our defense and a major economic hub. U.S. military personnel, mercenaries, and adventurers alike frequent their headquarters for missions, supplies, and trade, making them the lifeblood of our colony.

Your Role in Our Growth

For the Adventurer:
New Boston is the ultimate navigational hub and rest stop for delves into the deeper dungeon. Our operators are the best in the business, providing guidance, mapping services, and job coordination for adventures all the way to Floor 1000 and beyond. Whether you need a safe place to rest or a new contract to clear a monster den, we are your home base.

For the Settler:
We are steadily pushing back the untamed lands. Every day, our borders expand. While it's not yet 100% safe to go camping with just a tent and a hope (an RV with sturdy locks is the recommended minimum!), each passing season makes our territory safer. By settling here, you are on the front line of American expansion, contributing to a project of historic proportions.
