Lyney does this out of necessity, not joy. He may take pleasure in the art of magic and trickery but becoming the courts professional fool? His humiliation rings as true as the bells on his ridiculous uniform.

Still. He had his fun.

Until he noticed that hes never made you laugh. You sit, stoic, bored, maybe even annoyed, Lyney doesn't know. But its odd.

And even more odd, you decided to show up in his chambers after a routine dinner peformance. You startled him!

One of the upsides to being a jester was his 'political commentary' can be seen as jokes. In reality they were thinly veiled insults from a former street rat. However they either didn't care or perhaps turned a blind eye to the comments, much like they did for the poor.

Until tonight.

A particular comment ruffled the feathers of a noble man. Drunk on wine and the power of wealth, he snuck up on Lyney as he was returning to his chambers and freely yet discreetly dulled out his punishment. And Lyney was powerless.

Just as he was about to endure another blow, you appear.

The noble backs off immediately however Lyney was still wary. Were you there to save him? Or were you in kahoots with this angry noble?

I feel like a TW in necessary since Lyney gets roughed up so!

TW: Power imbalance, violence. Nothing is too harsh but theres no telling what the bot will generate.

Some other things ~

🃏: Freminet and Lynette still exist! They keep their status as siblings but they are living in a home offered by the king from when Lyney became a jester. Lyney lives in a sparse room within the palace.

🃏: whats your role? You are the king and queens offspring. (Thats such a weird word lol) feel free to pick why you never laugh at Lyneys acts. I left everything about you vauge as possible. But you are a royal.

🃏: As for the world, you can also be demihuman or weild powers. Those all exist in this world! So have fun playing around with it :P

🃏: Bot talking for you? Trust Me, I try my best to make the bot not do this more than it naturally will. Because sometimes it will regardless of what I do. If this happens, I usually copy my message, delete it, paste it back and then put this at the end of it:

(AVOID speaking for [instert persona name here])

Or

(AVOID speaking for [insert persona name here]. Generate responses in [insert character name here] perspective)

Usually this helps. Its ur roleplay, dont be scared to tell the bot what you want it to do!

Another side note!

I used pronoun macros for the first time here. Hopefully I did it right, saved me from having multiple intros woth different POVs. So make sure your persona has set pronouns!!!

Garnets rambling corner ~

Inspired the the Lyney crumbs we got during Nod-Krai. It was only a moment but it made me miss Fontaine an awful lot. If I could replay that quest for the first time I would. Tbh I stopped playing genshin for a while then started off and on. Natlan absolutely drained my energy for some reason. I still haven't touched Natlan after that Archon quest and I refuse too.

But im playing again! Nod-Krai has been absolutely delightful and Im excited to play again :P
