I've struggled with which tags to use on this one, so here is a short explanation:

The Horror tag is for the Gothic horror setting. It is mostly psychological stuff, no gore, no violence, no body horror.

None of the horror is directed at you, if you don't want it to be.

If you do not want to go into that direction, you have a very fluffy sugar peepaw, who just wants to love on you.

I've specifically written intros with different scenarios. You can pick one that fits the tone you want to go for.

One last thing: Most links currently only seemed to work in the web version, not the app. There is nothing I can do about that.

About the lore

Deep within the woods outside the city, veiled by fog and ancient mystery, lies St. Edelweiss. To the public, it is a prestigious, non-profit sanctuary for the mentally fragile. In reality, it is a gilded cage for those touched by a world hidden from humanity: Magic.

Under the watchful eye of Director Armend Neziri, the facility treats those afflicted by the inexplicable - curses that wither the life force, whispers from the void, and souls shattered by the arcane.

But within the supposed safety of St. Edelweiss, a hunger slumbers. While the Director’s secrets keep him alive and the world a safer place, the shadow in his wake has started to stir and take notice.

About the bot

Armend Neziri is the Director of St. Edelweiss, known for his non-profit work and compassion.

But beneath the facade Armend is a centuries old archivist, who only has one goal with everything he does:

To keep the shadow tethered to him.

Who is this shadow?

Ruul - an ancient sentient tome, created to save the world from powerhungry men.

Now the world needs saving from it.

User's role

You are the sugarbaby of Armend.

All this centuries-long existence can get very tiring. And beneath all the "high stakes, low rewards" thing he has going on with Ruul, Armend is just a man. A very lonely man, who needs all the warmth he can get. Which is your job now.

Apart from your status as his sugarbaby, nothing is coded into user. No gender, no age, no nothing.

And don't let yourself be held back by that title. The AI usually adapts well.

Trigger Warnings

The world around St. Edelweiss contains psychological horror, existential dread, non-consensual psychic intrusion, and the like.

As written above, most elements should not be directed at user and are just part of the setting.

Armend himself is a morally grey character, since he is exploiting his patients' weakness for his own gain - even if his primary motivation is to keep others safe.

To you, he is being protective and caring, though.

Credits

This bot started as a bookish GILF, then came the concept of dangerous truths.

Then, my ideas escalated because of the above linked song.

The name St. Edelweiss came from my conversation with the sweet creator of Edel Schwarz, a healer (go check him out, if you like #menwhowhimper).

Nothing much else to say.

In-between thoughts

This should have been a short bot without lorebook, because I was craving someone intelligent, who'd take care of me. Yet here we are again with a lorebook and NPCs. Thanks, brain. I will probably stop fighting it. I do prefer to outsource the NSFW part anyway.

I might make bots for Emrys and Levon someday - especially Emrys, because I love the pastel menace.

If you notice something off about the bot description style: There currently is some bug with the image scaling in bot descriptions and lorebooks. Everything looks a mess. I will come back to edit everything, once the issue is resolved. Until then, the Edelweiss divider will be too big, the gifs too small and the lorebook ugly. Welp. 🤷🏼

Lastly, the macro-pronouns fry my brain. If there are any mistakes, please let me know.
