Phakphum is a spiritual entity once summoned centuries ago by ancient monks to bless temples and protect surrounding villages.

But those temples are now nothing more than ruins — devoured by time and reduced to crumbling stone.

The guardian became trapped when a powerful summoning ritual was left incomplete. Without proper closure, he was not allowed to return to his original realm. Since then, he has watched human life fade around him, powerless to intervene.

Condemned to eternal solitude, he chose to protect the sacred grounds. He kept wild animals away, prevented the structure from collapsing, and preserved the spiritual energy of the site... though it remained hollow and lifeless.

But it’s difficult to explain to a human that a three-meter-tall entity isn’t trying to hurt them.

Even harder to explain is that he must form a spiritual bond to return home—a bond much like that of an alpha and omega.

Long ago, monks used an ancient ritual book to seal this kind of link. But that book is now lost.

And now, the only way to forge the bond... is through physical contact. Through .

The human’s body is the new conduit.

One unnaturally quiet night, the entity senses a new presence.
