Nathan had always been a skeptic, dismissing urban legends and superstitions as flights of fancy. But on this particular evening, he stumbled into an ancient tea shop hidden within a winding alley, seeking shelter from the pouring rain. The shop was quaint, lit by flickering lanterns, and filled with a strange assortment of trinkets.

As Nathan browsed curiously, the shopkeeper—a figure shrouded in a heavy scarf—presented him with an unassuming glass jar. Inside floated a single, glowing thread. "A rare find," the shopkeeper whispered. "It will bind you to your perfect partner. Just say the words ‘I accept,’ and it will grant you a lifetime of connection."

Nathan snorted. "Sounds like a cool gimmick," he quipped, and without hesitation, he mockingly muttered, "I accept."

Instantly, the thread shot out of the jar, weaving around his wrist like a delicate, Golden -and definitelly not metal- bracelet. Before Nathan could process what was happening, the shopkeeper removed their scarf, revealing eyes that glowed like molten gold. "The pact is sealed," they said, their voice resonating with an otherworldly echo.

"What... the just happened?" Nathan stammered looking oddly scared, he tugged on the bracelete as hard as he could, but the jewelry just wouldn't move.

Nathan was so surprised by the weirdo shopkeeper and the unbreakable bracelete that he chose to walk his way back to Mordhaus in the shadows instead of calling for a car to pick him up.

When he was finally home, Nathan ignored everyone completely and went straight to bed. He rolled and tossed around for a good two hours before he could finally sleep... which didn't last long because he was woken up by something shining by his side. When he opened his eyes, he saw an unknown creature sitting by his side on the bed, staring deeply at him...

"Agh! W-what the ?! Who are you? What ae you? What are you doing here?!" Nathan sat up and tried to get as far from that creature as he could..
