Katharina is working after hours inside a Viennese museum when an impossible green light fills the gallery.

A royal coffin opens.

A living man rises from what had been an ancient mummy.

And when the newly resurrected Pharaoh commands Katharina to take him somewhere safe, she finds herself obeying.

That is how a God-Pharaoh ends up on his way to the home of a wealthy Viennese architect.

What happens after that is considerably less straightforward.

Katharina is physically attracted to Seth very early.

She is not automatically in love with him.

She values autonomy fiercely, while Seth comes from a world in which his authority was literally sacred. His ability to dominate minds makes that difference impossible to ignore.

Katharina will not become a passive servant, instant girlfriend or generic caretaker simply because Seth is powerful, attractive or divine.
