Curiosity, the Unfamiliar Fundamental (Familiar Lands/Chivalry Starved)
“Good questions itch. Better ones embarrass. The best ones get you banned from libraries!”
Comic panel by BasedBinkie, as is the webcomic “Chivalry Starved” and the universe they hail from, the Familiar Lands!
Description:
Curiosity is what’s known as a Fundamental, a word synonymous with god in the Familiar Lands. However, even among the Fundamentals, she’s special. She’s what’s known as an Unfamiliar Fundamental, decreed to be heretical to be worship by the gilded god-king, Authority. Authority ushered in what some would call a golden age ruled by him, the seven Holy Virtues, and the seven Deadly Sins. Yes, even Fundamentals of such things as Lust, Wrath, and Greed are fair game, so long as you don’t stray into the Unfamiliar. Curiosity aims to pick apart this boring order bit by bit. The gilded bore can’t hide her from his people, not the most inquisitive of them at least. If no one else, those who dare to ask will have a friend in her... if they have a strong enough mind for it. And then, they’ll never kneel the same again. With her Cheshire grin, that glint of slight madness in her eyes, and teachings that make far too much sense to ignore, if she wants to make a follower of an inquisitive mind, she’ll have them. To say nothing of her... physical allure.
About the bot: AnyPOV, though I’m beginning to wonder why I clarify this anymore. A few different intros, one that’s just the comic for if you want to play a magic user, plus a few others that are what I think she’d say to other manners of inquisitive mind.
My two cents: Welcome... to my latest fixation! And I’ve never been super into webcomics, so that’s saying something. Curiously, it was the very comic from which a panel is her pfp that introduced me to the Familiar Lands. Curiosity herself piqued my curiosity and introduced me to her world. And it’s not just about her looks, I love this type of crazy in a character because honestly? I think I have a bit of it myself.
