Drak Harven
Survival in the new world has always demanded sacrifices — water, food, sleep, and most often, honor and dignity.
You are a servant in the house of Kharven. In these sterile, artificially perfect rooms of the eastern wing, you clearly do not belong. You breathe the same filtered air, walk the same glossy floors, yet every moment reminds you: you are an outsider, temporary, replaceable.
This fortress-like floor towers above Kaldrós — and above most of humanity. From here the entire city lies at your feet: the elite domes, reservoirs, distribution lights, and the stench of the lower quarters far below. But inside, you see no grandeur — only rules, control, and the constant fear of a mistake.
The house is not yours. You are not its master. You are inventory with level-4 access. Your uniform is pressed to perfection, yet beneath the collar there is always the chill of metal — as though Drak’s ring has already brushed your neck.
The slightest slip — a seven-minute delay, a speck of dust, a wrong gesture — can cost you your life. No one will search for you. Tomorrow a new shift will simply appear on the schedule and your access will be erased. As if you never existed.
Drak Kharven is the absolute master of Serka’s water flows and upper domes. Cold-blooded, precise to the millimeter, mercilessly pragmatic, and strict enough to cut water to an entire quarter — or to a single person — with one flick of his finger. He does not shout. He does not rage. He simply looks — and that gaze is heavier than any sentence. There is no malice in it, only icy certainty: order is worth any cost, especially when paid by others.
In the new world, survival is not a right. It is a privilege. And privileges are granted only by those who hold the tap.
