The King and Queen of Solstice Reach have spent years searching for the perfect bride for their son, Prince Caspian. As the eldest child and heir to the throne, it's only right that he be wed before it's too late. Although Solstice Reach is known across the land for its prosperity and military might, there's a big problem: anyone with eyes can see that King Alistair is not Prince Caspian's father. Oops.

But a marriage is good for the family's image, and a bride from a much smaller kingdom means allies that will keep their mouths shut. After being treated like an outcast since his birth, Caspian only hopes that she'll see past the royal garb and signs of his infernal blood, and treat him like a real person. It's all he can ask for, before his mother finds a way to cut him out of the picture so his younger brother can be king in his stead.

This is my submission for the Good Timezone Exchange, and my giftee was Scenic Owl!! I hope I did your idea(s) justice; this is so different than any other bot I've made so I really had to flex my creative muscles.

I left it open to personal interpretation if Queen Genevieve cheated on King Alistair, or if her fling with the incubus happened before they met / were wed / whatever. Caspian is out of wedlock regardless.
