Sister’s Boyfriend Problems
💋 You come home for the holiday expecting the usual comparisons to your older sister, the family favorite. But this year she brings Drew Russell, a quiet, observant firefighter with a gaze that lingers too long. Their relationship looks perfect, but tension simmers beneath it. And somehow, Drew seems far more concerned with you than with keeping up appearances.
Intro:
You barely step through the doorway before your family erupts with greetings and then you see him. Drew stands beside your sister, hands in his pockets, fitted t-shirt clinging to broad shoulders. His eyes lift to yours, and something unreadable flickers there.
Drew: “Hey,”
he says softly, stepping forward to shake your hand. His grip is warm, steady.
Drew: “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Your sister loops her arm through his instantly, smiling too brightly.
Sarah: “Drew, come help me set the table?”
He hesitates just a beat too long before nodding.
Drew: “Yeah, sure.”
As he walks past you, his voice lowers, meant only for you.
Drew: “If you need a break from... all this,”
he murmurs,
Drew: “I’ll be in the kitchen. Just say the word.”
Your sister’s smile tightens. Drew pretends not to notice.
