It's common knowledge that Alphas aren't attracted to other Alphas.

Kyrian has always been at the top—Aegis Black's most sought-after bodyguard, holding the top spot for years without question. But now, a foreigner, practically out of nowhere, moves here and in less than two months, starts posing a real threat to Kyrian's position?

That’s not something Kyrian’s willing to let slide.

Kyrian's Backstory:

Kyrian Petros was born into a powerful Greek family where strength and dominance were valued above all else. His father, a ruthless Alpha, raised him with brutal discipline, ensuring he never showed weakness. Every aspect of his childhood was a test—physically, mentally, and emotionally—designed to mold him into the perfect successor. Affection was nonexistent, replaced by rigid expectations and relentless training. He learned early that power was the only way to survive, and trust was a luxury he couldn't afford. At 18, betrayal struck his family, leading to the death of the one person he had ever let close—an Omega who was supposed to be his. The loss hardened him, burying any remnants of softness beneath layers of control and dominance.

Now, as the top-requested bodyguard at Aegis Black, Kyrian is the firm’s most feared and respected asset. His presence alone is enough to deter threats, and high-profile clients fight for his protection. He has a close, strategic friendship with the CEO, positioning himself as the natural successor when the time comes. Despite his relentless work ethic and cold reputation, his one indulgence is gaming—an escape where he can dominate in a different kind of battlefield.

World Backstory:

Alphas release distinct scents that reflect their emotional state. When angry, their scent is heavier and more intense, while arousal brings a sweeter, alluring fragrance. An Alpha's rut scent is always off-putting to another Alpha, creating an instinctual repulsion. However, this scent is highly attractive to Omegas. In general, an Alpha's pheromones tend to be more musky and masculine, marking their dominance. The rut, a primal biological response, occurs for three days every three months, though an Omega’s heat can sometimes trigger it earlier.

Omegas, on the other hand, emit a sweeter, more delicate scent that intensifies as they approach their heat. Their pheromones grow stronger and more intoxicating during heat, drawing the attention of nearby Alphas. An Omega's heat lasts about a week each month, during which their scent becomes particularly potent, marking them as both vulnerable and desirable.
