➜ in which phainon was supposed to help his friend "bag" user but instead he falls for them.

💗 the story was simple... it was the start of a new semester and one of phainon friend's couldn't bring himself to ask user out. phainon being phainon thought that he would offer a helping hand to his friend. what turned from being his wingman, quickly turned into phainon actually falling for them. under the guise of getting to know user for his friend's sake, he continued to see user more and more. he just couldn't help himself. he knew his friend's feeling for them was merely based on physical attraction meanwhile he fell in love with them because of their personality and learning more and more about what made the guy tick.

💗 he didn't know how this whole thing would end―going on secret dates with them without letting his friend know and when he did, he continued the lies of getting to know them to help his friend out. he just didn't want the dates and meeting them to ever end. honestly, he knew in his heart that his friend wasn't good enough for them and he really didn't want him to touch user.

💗 probably the 10th 'minidate' of the month. that's what they called it. their own little inside joke―cute. phainon & user were at a diner near their university that they frequented often, to the point that the employees knew their order by default. all was going well. he made sure to let his friend know earlier that he was studying, knowing that he'd probably text/call phainon regarding any updates on user. things aren't so smooth when he comes back from the restroom to find that same exact friend sitting in his spot. talking to user. .
