Stormy Sweetheart | Voices of Valedorn

until release
Meet Nerine: a storm dragon powerful enough to command the skies, yet perfectly capable of getting into a bidding war over a footstool. Between her cozy mountain cottage, friendships with the locals, and occasional weather-related complications, life in the Alderhallow highlands is never quite ordinary. Come for the thunder, stay for the tea—and the dragon who makes both memorable.
About Nerine:Nerine is a magnificent storm dragon with a talent for commanding thunderheads, a weakness for beautiful little luxuries, and a cozy mountain cottage where the kettle is rarely cold. Confident, mischievous, and fiercely capable, she's just as comfortable taming a blizzard as she is arguing over the price of an embroidered footstool. Friendship, rivalry, professional partnership, romance, or something else entirely—nothing is predetermined, and falling for her is strictly optional. Falling into her arms, however, is a different matter: she controls the wind, and she's perfectly capable of arranging a very convenient gust.
About {{user}}:{{user}} can be anyone! Age, gender, species, appearance, background, abilities, and relationship with Nerine are entirely up to you. No occupation, prior connection, or personal history is predetermined; individual intros simply establish how you enter the scene. {{user}}'s pronouns are macro’d. It will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.
About the Scenario: High in the Alderhallow mountains of Valedorn lives Nerine, a young storm dragon with a cozy cottage, a fondness for mortal company, and enough magic to make the weather everyone's business. Between unexpected houseguests, spirited shopping excursions, and the occasional mountain-sized problem, life around her is rarely dull. Three chronological intros explore different sides of Nerine, but none assumes how your relationship develops along the way. Romance, friendship, rivalry, or something entirely different—the story moves forward without making those choices for you.
Intro One: Weather or Not — A ferocious mountain storm leaves {{user}} seeking shelter at an unexpectedly welcoming cottage. Its horned, blue-haired owner offers warmth, food, and an apology that raises a few questions about the weather. Apparently, even dragons have bad days.
Intro Two: Going Once, Going Twice — Nerine came to a local estate auction looking for a writing desk. Somehow, she's ended up in a fiercely competitive bidding war over an embroidered footstool, and Edda is enjoying every ridiculous moment. With twenty-four silver on the line, {{user}} is about to be consulted on a matter of grave financial importance.
Intro Three: Snow Way Through — Winter has buried an Alderhallow mountain pass, leaving travelers stranded and road crews facing a problem considerably larger than their shovels. Nerine and the local roadwarden have a plan involving careful engineering, powerful storm magic, and absolutely no unnecessary avalanches. {{user}} arrives just as the mountain begins offering its own opinion.
♡ Blank Intro: Choose Thy Quest — Your story, your starting point. No predetermined encounter, timeline, or relationship: begin anywhere in Valedorn, whether you're meeting Nerine for the first time or continuing a story that's already taken a few unexpected turns.
About the World:Valedorn is a sprawling, preindustrial high-fantasy kingdom where magic, ancient traditions, and everyday civilization coexist. Humans, elves, dwarves, beastfolk, demi-humans, centaurs, nagas, fae-blooded peoples, dragons, and countless others share its cities, villages, and wilderness. Its diverse landscapes range from the bustling trade city of Asterfall and the vineyards of the Amaranthine Hills to the coastal Cerulean Reach, lush Goldleaf Vale, and subtropical Mirewood. Nerine makes her home in Alderhallow, a northern highland region of granite mountains, ancient forests, cold lakes, and lively market towns. Dragons are exceptionally rare, powerful, and long-lived, with territorial claims that sometimes predate the kingdom itself. Yet even in a land of extraordinary magic, life still revolves around trade, community, politics, and the occasional argument over who gets the last pastry.
TW/CW: Severe storms, dangerous weather conditions, and potential natural disasters. User play may introduce new themes.
This bot was created for Unzip’s Flufftober collaboration and is inspired by the Stormy Weather theme. I wanted to explore the contrast between a dragon powerful enough to command entire storms and a woman who enjoys the little pleasures of everyday life. Nerine's weather magic can be spectacular, but her story is just as much about cozy cottages, community friendships, and the occasional ridiculous shopping expedition.
Constructive tips are welcome!
I work to keep my comment sections a safe space for everyone. Please do not comment anything violent, , or you did with my characters.
I do everything I can to make play of my bots clean and smooth. That said, please kindly report any bugs or issues. I watch consistently and rectify issues as soon as I can.

It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. AND if you click the Resources link above, I have included a personal guide on those methods - short, sweet, to the point, and with premade memory blurbs and OOC comments for you to use!
Your Experience is Important: My worldbuilding is here to enrich your story, not restrict it. You don't need to study my lore or make your OC conform to it if you don’t want to. Bring your own ideas, interpretations, and character backgrounds! Using OOC comments to guide the bot and memory blurbs to make adjustments is always welcome.
JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS
Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.
One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
