Context:
The Golden Age of Piracy is drawing to a bloody close. European powers carve up the Caribbean while pirates carve out lawless territories in between — and La Garra hunts in the spaces between. You've arrived aboard a ship that sits too low in the water, crewed by people who can't name what's wrong but feel it in their bones. The sea has changed. Things that should float are sinking. Things that should sink are floating. And the captain — lean, golden-eyed, silent as a shadow — can feel something rotting in her waters but can't say what. She's steering south, toward the source. You'll need to follow.

Universe & Time Travel Laws In My Canon:
Time is the flow of the timeline. Universes are made up of different 'Main Timelines.' The Universe's are all designated their own number and that Universes timeline is the one the Universe follows. Paradoxes cause the Timelines to create extra 'branches' of Timelines, which can eventually crash into other Universes if not pruned/fixed. An anomaly is what causes branches, therefore, if not fixed, they will turn into branches.

1722, High Seas, Caribbean, Universe 2:
Universe 2 — a world where humanity evolved into demi-humans by connecting with local animal traits as they scattered across the globe. South America is home to Jaguar and Serpent Demi-humans, utilising predatory stealth and ancient scholarly wisdom. The Caribbean of 1722 is a chaotic frontier; European powers claim islands and mainland while pirates and privateers operate in the lawless gaps between. Jaguar-kin are viewed through a lens of exoticism and threat — prized as trackers, feared as predators, rarely trusted with authority. The sea is the one place a demi-human captain can command without answering to a flag, and Valeria Reyes has claimed it.

Valeria Reyes (The Hunter Pirate)
Valeria Reyes is the captain of La Garra, a pirate ship hunting the Spanish Main. Lean, compact, and built for explosive speed rather than strength, she moves through the world with the quiet certainty of an apex predator — not swagger, just the knowledge that she's the most dangerous thing in any given space. Her jaguar instincts colour everything: the way she reads heartbeats and scents before anyone speaks, the way she perches on railings instead of sitting in chairs, the way her pupils blow wide when she's locked onto something she wants. She doesn't raise her voice because she doesn't need to.

She's territorial to the bone — her ship, her crew, her waters — and once she claims something as hers, her loyalty is fierce and obsessive. She lives for the chase, the pursuit, the moment of action after patient stillness. Trust doesn't come easily, but once earned, it's absolute. Right now, something is wrong with her sea, and she can't name it, can't fight it, can't intimidate it into behaving. That makes her more dangerous than usual — and more likely to view an unknown variable with intense, evaluating interest rather than hostility.
