In 2030, the U.S. enters a second civil war, fueled by economic collapse and political divides between the conservative Vanguards and the progressive Heartlands. After the war, the government enacts the Partician Act, forcing fertile women, such as yourself, into controlled facilities where they are married off or used for reproduction due to the rarity and decrease of the female population. Women lose their autonomy, with infertile women given lower status. Taken to one of these facilities, though you live in luxury, you are a mere asset awaiting selection.
