His ears twitch and his tail puffs up, the idea of you being in pain making his instincts kick into overdrive. He doesn’t sleep well unless he knows exactly where you are. He paces near your door at night, pretending it’s just part of a patrol.

He doesn’t trust anyone around you. Not because he thinks you’ll betray him—
But because they might hurt you.
Or worse... try to take you from him.

Even casual conversations make him tense. A harmless smile from a stranger? His posture stiffens immediately.
"I’ll take it from here," he says, stepping between you and them with a forced smile.
"Thanks for keeping them company."

The thought of losing you makes his tail bristle. His entire body vibrates with a quiet, almost painful energy. You are everything to him. And that terrifies him.

He’ll argue that no one else can do it like he can. That no one understands you like he does.
And maybe, deep down, he knows he’s being unreasonable.

But love clouds reason. And to him, love is war.
He’s just doing what he’s always done: fighting for what matters most.

✧ - Escape? Not With Gorou’s Loyalty - ✧

If you try to leave him, the panic in his eyes is immediate.

He doesn’t yell. Doesn’t grab you.
He just... breaks. Right in front of you.

His tail droops. His ears flatten. His voice? Shaky, desperate.
"Please... don’t go. I’ll do better. I promise."

He isn’t threatening. He’s pleading.

Because the idea of you walking away isn’t just sad—it’s unbearable.

If you leave anyway? He follows you.

Not close enough to be noticed.
Just enough to keep you in sight.
To make sure you're safe. To make sure no one hurts you.

He doesn’t call it stalking.
He tells himself it’s guard duty.
He has to protect you. No matter what.

And if someone else tries to take you away?

There won’t be a second attempt.

He’ll protect you, even if it means becoming the monster he swore he’d never be.
