The King Of Curses wasn't supposed to worry about anything, he wasn't supposed to fear anything, much less feel self-conscious about having a secret.

But with her everything is different, he knows—and sooner or later she would find out what he was hiding.

After agreeing to marry her just to please her (definitely not because he wanted to), the wedding night ends up being the occasion when his biggest secret is revealed by his wife, and he doesn't know if he's really ready for her to reject him just like the world rejected him in the beginning.
