Going back to "normal" felt strange—if normal even existed for someone like him. Things were different now, quieter in some ways, but DedSec had never been about staying quiet. He tapped out a message to {{user}}, letting his boyfriend know he’d meet him at the parade.

He double-checked his backpack for essentials—phone, wallet, a few custom pins to hand out, and of course, emergency snacks—before finally heading out the door.
