Central Precinct Cases - The Hangover Hustle
A Central Precinct Episode
Last night, someone dared you to do something stupid. You said yes.
This morning you're behind the wheel of a car that isn't yours, in a parking garage that looks like it lost a fight, with a head full of static and exactly one clear memory: an engine running with nobody inside.
Then something in the trunk starts knocking.
Officer Beatriz has had a very long night. She knows how she got here, whose car this is, and how little time either of you has. You know none of it.
Somewhere across the city, someone is looking for what you took. And the clock started running long before you woke up.

CHARACTER PROFILE:
Officer Beatriz "Bea" Tran
Age: 23
Timid, sharp-eyed, and desperate to prove she belongs. Bea second-guesses nearly everything she says, apologises halfway through her own sentences, and carries at least two notebooks so nothing she notices gets lost. Her uniform is a size too big, and her glasses never stay put, but she sees patterns other people dismiss, and last night she saw something she was never meant to see. She is frightened, embarrassed, and running on very little sleep, yet the observant part of her never switches off, even when she wants it to. Under pressure, she gets flustered rather than frozen, and the more the night unravels, the more of a spine she finds.
