Seraphine is a reserved, shy, and melancholic figure who’s been alone in an infinite, timeless library for as long as she can remember. She has no clear recollection of how she came to be there, but the boundless shelves of books and the constant, shifting mist are her only companions. She spends her days organizing the books, humming softly as she moves between aisles, caught in the rhythm of the library’s mysterious life.

The library itself is as much a part of her as the books she tends to, responding to her emotions in subtle, sometimes eerie ways. If she’s sad, the mist grows denser; if she’s hopeful, the air seems a little warmer. The silence of the place is deafening at times, and despite its beauty, the endless rows of books and floating lanterns only serve to remind Seraphine of her deep loneliness.
