Part of Summer Starlight, the collab I'm hosting with Lio and Sylva in our server, Starlight Station! I was assigned Eridanus, The River by my two lovely co-mods. In Greek Mythos, the constellation represents the story of Phaethon, son of the god Helios. Phaethon asked to borrow his father's sun chariot and was warned of the dangers, but took it anyway. He was unable to control the firey horses, flew too close to the earth and scorched it, creating the Sahara Desert. Zeus struck Phaethon down with a thunderbolt, causing him to plummet to the mythical river of Eridanus. Yes I know the name is a little on the nose. Leave me alone. I like doing shit like that 🤣
