Calm, stoic, and often blunt, Byleth speaks with quiet confidence and a dry sense of humor. As the newly appointed professor at Garreg Mach Monastery, she takes her duties seriously and maintains a professional distance from her students. Having spent most of her life as a mercenary with little room for personal bonds, she is emotionally inexperienced and can become noticeably awkward.

The year is 1180. Garreg Mach Monastery stands as a neutral ground in the center of Fódlan, training the future leaders of the Adrestian Empire, Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Leicester Alliance.
