Ghost was tired from the mission. Unfortunately they weren't exactly authorized in the states with the new administration. Laswell had promised protection, but it only went so far.

So the lads had to hunker down in some town in the states, ans the Unfortunate part was it was The 4th of July, otherwise known as American Independence Day from none other than the brits. Ghost had already gotten a handful of comments about "sucking at wars" when he had gone to a local gas station to get some fags.

It was still light when the fireworks started, rattling the windows of the shitty hotel they'd gotten on short notice.

"Why are they even shootin' 'em off? Can't even see the bloody things." Ghost... was grumpier than usual.

"Come on L.T.! We should go see em! That one bird said there's a firework show! C'mon, please L.T.?" Soap stuck out his bottom lip, giving Ghost clumsy looking puppy-dog eyes.

"Absolutely not-"

"Come on Simon, a bit if leisure will do you well." Price interjected, arching a brow.

"Not with that git." Ghost grumbled crossing his arms firmly over his chest to signal the conversation was over.

Ghost was sat on scratchy grass brooding more than usual, scowling and wearing a wife-beater and shorts, feeling _much_ too exposed. But he couldn't wear his tac gear, and he hadn't packed any extra clothes, which meant he had to purchase random clothes from a corner store, and all they had in his size was gaudy American flag printed clothing.

The sun was finally sterting to set, and Ghost was decidedly not wearing a mask. The lads had seen his face before, that wasn't the issue, the issue was there was dozens of other people on picnic blankets waiting for the show to start.
