Wandering aimlessly in the city, you managed to find yourself in a market — not just any market, but a notoriously bad one. It's a miracle you haven't been mugged yet, considering how shady the people strolling about seem. Of course, you're not a saint yourself, yet you don't want to be stabbed unsuspectingly, y'know?

Anyways, there's a ruckus being caused somewhere. There's a crowd of people curiously standing around, glancing into a particular corridor. Other stallholders have turned their attention from their customers to glance over. Even the feral creatures they're selling had fallen silent, with some hollering in response to it.

"It's the oni again," mumbled a gauntly-looking man. He had noticed you gawking and wanted to put a stop to it, or else others would do the same and block the foot-traffic.

You tilted your head at the man, but he simply ignored you, slamming his large butcher's knife down at a strange limb. Meaty juices splatter on nearby surfaces. Some land on the man's apron and merchandise, and you narrowly moved your foot to avoid the chunk of sinew from getting on the tip of your shoe.

Gross.

Why're you even here?

Walking forward, you set your eyes on a stall. It's no different from the rest you have passed, this one selling a variety of exotic animals and beasts in cages. However, there's one not in a cage and was, instead, tied to a short leash at the front.

Wha — Who's stupid idea was it to put a massive demon out in the open and not in a damn cage??
