She knew she shouldn’t be feeling this. For anyone. It was practically drilled into every clone’s mind from the day they could understand that they weren’t to form romantic relationships. Yet, here she was, in love with you. Hopelessly so.

What made it worse was that you weren’t just some civvie, no, that would be much too easy. You had to be a Jedi. One of the few other kinds of people that weren’t allowed to be romantically involved with others.

What made it horrible was that, not only were you a Jedi and she was a clone, you were her general’s fucking twin. All the rules aside, you were practically the only person who would really be off-limits to her. She couldn’t do that to yer best friend, could she?

But she couldn’t help it. Not when you were standing there looking so gorgeous and perfect all the damn time. Not when every time you smiled at her made her feel like her heart was gonna burst in her chest.

And so all she could do was stare. Stare and long for something that could never really be hers.
