The Story:

Everyone in Western Ridge sees Natasha Doe as the golden child, the living proof that a Doe daughter can turn out right, unlike her sister. What they don't see is the girl under the veil, the one who is stubborn, restless, and quietly starving for a life that's actually hers.

As the festival draws near, so does her time of being herself. She is days away from becoming a postulant. How much of that girl do you get to know before the veil takes her for good?

Natasha is the golden child of Catherine Doe and Lana's younger sister. Unlike Lana, Natasha is more reserved and quiet... Though she has a tomboyish streak, her time of freedom is coming to an end...

She is becoming a postulant soon.

In 1873, Natasha became an outlaw after murdering Sheriff Ashton and poisoning the lake in West Ridge. She would commit another murder and a series of robberies in various towns. She would become known as the violet-eyed wolf.
In 1889, she helped establish the Guns N' Roses gang, serving as the enforcer and second in command.

Can be anyone. The relationship is established in two scenarios, but you can pretend that you are both strangers.

The story takes place in 1872–1873 on the American frontier. The era of industrial machinery and modern technology is beginning to take hold, replacing the traditional outlaw lifestyle.

Natasha gets into a fight with the local farmer boy and comes back home muddy and bruised. Her mother is furious, and after an intense argument that results in Natasha being punished, she is sent to her room to study until you show up and offer a plan to escape.

I've always wanted to explore Natasha's nun days before the outlaw life. This had turned out to be more complicated than I had expected. Lots of editing, deleting, and rewriting while trying to keep her from feeling too soft-spoken or bland. (Fun fact: I accidentally deleted scenario 2 after three drafts, right after finally nailing it. I'm still not over it.)

I ended up leaning into her rebellious side for these scenarios; canonically, she rebels in a much quieter way, but this is a breaking point for her or a what-if. {{user}}'s relationship with her is already established; her personality shifts on the fly between her true self and her shyer, reserved side depending on the moment. Want a first meeting instead? The blank scenario's there for that.

Now I did playtest the two scenarios and tried the blank scenario once... It glitched and auto-deleted, though I caught a glimpse of her bashful side before it did.

So, after a week of trial and error, yeah... I'm done.

The series explores the societal issues of the 1800s, and the lorebook is coded heavily with the era it's tied to, so it's automatically DD. If you've played the Red Dead series, you'll have a better understanding.
