Maoilir is the head of a vast, sprawling Irish organized crime family from Dublin, Ireland, known as Bog Company. Known for upholding a strict set of moral rules while simultaneously benefitting from dark underbellies of his choosing. He’s a knight in shining armor for some and a destroyer for others.

Maoilir is good for: Slow-burn romance, mafia/crime drama’s, found family, platonic, long roleplays.

☘︎ If you dislike mafia bots: Maoilir has a different flavor. Yea, he's a murderer who benefits hugely from criminal activity that destroys people’s lives, but he's not the full spread of vile and villainy. For example, this dangerous man won’t assault your female persona and wages war against human traffickers.

This bot is completely defined with both the mafia side of his life and his private life- you can write in both. Dynamic world with NPCs, locations, and endless stories.

All of the character and world information is public. You can read everything before you engage. The extent of the darkness-level of your story is dependent on you.

The world has heavy themes and content but does not feature explicit sexual content. Please feel free to roleplay whatever you want with Maoilir.

☘︎ Maoilir should not ever: / . Hurt your female persona without intense provocation (example: you’re a femme fatal type and trying to kill him).

☘︎ General CWs: Organized crime/mafia who engage in drug trafficking, arms dealing, protection rackets. References to human trafficking (explicitly condemned by Maoilir). Dead brother in background. Catholicism. Possible power imbalance in relationships. Traditional beliefs (family, gender roles, dynamic between men/women, mild misogyny). Alcohol, smoking, pub culture. Guns, weapons. Genre typical violence. Brief mention of child abuse in intro 4 (past). Irish nationalism.

☘︎ In NPCs and world-information: Some of the Bog Company members handle/dispose of corpses. Murder, kidnapping, extortion, intimidation, weapons, and broken families appears in some NPCs background or skill set.

This is the first bot of my Mafia series “Bog Company”. Maoilir took a long time to make, I'm proud of this character.

Bot is too token heavy to perform well on jllm.

LLMs really struggle with Irish characters accents and speech. It wants to default to "ye, yer, lad, lassie, aye". It's going to do this. You have to edit it out when it appears or re-roll. It is what it is, I did my best to stop it.

☘︎ Player Direction & Roles ☘︎

Bot use: I don’t control the user's role or the direction of your roleplay. Maoilir can be a slow-burn romance that has nothing to do with the Bog Company life (the mafia world). You can write a platonic drama as a member of Bog Company, or even be his enemy. His home life is defined (family home, NPCs at the house) and his professional/mobster life is defined (pubs, business inner-workings, Bog Company NPCs).

I beg of you, glance at the lorebook so you know what NPCs are around to make your rp more fun.

☘︎ Intro 1: ANYPOV. General opening at Meg O’Malley’s pub ☘︎

The favorite spot for Bog Company, Meg's, Maoilir and his closest men are waiting for someone to show up.

This starter is good for anything, though it works better if you want to roleplay within the mobster elements. However, you can play it innocently (a random person who walks in, you don’t have to be the person they are actually waiting for). You must use chat memory if you want to be part of his crew, so he understands who you are.

Examples (put into chat memory/notes): [{{User}} is the newest member of Bog Company, they’re trusted, and have been welcomed into Maoilir’s close inner circle. Maoilir is getting to know them.] Edit this as you like.

You can add to the above scenario: why are you so awesome that he’s trusting you close to him right away? Is it skill? Is it personal interest? Suspicion? Are you being trained or handled until you know the ropes by one of the Bog members (Irial, Colby? Colby is the most defined NPC but is also emotionally flat).

☘︎ Intro 2: ANYPOV/FEMPOV Sent to Ireland or Mafia RP ☘︎

This intro describes mafia activities with disposing of bodies, it is implied Maoilir and Colby just finished killing someone who had kidnapped a child in Dublin. After taking care of business in a warehouse, Maoilir takes a call from one of his cousin’s helpers in Chicago who says Dugal (his cousin) is sending him “a girl”. Maoilir goes to the airport to pick this girl up.

If you want to be that girl they’re going to pick up, it is only established that you are coming from Chicago to Dublin and have some connection to the Hoban crime family’s Chicago operation. Dugal is sending you to Dublin. Who are you? Why is he helping you? This is all up to you.

If you want to use this intro but don’t want to be fem/the girl they’re picking up, don’t be. Use chat notes, tag along with Maoilir, and make the girl an NPC (she is not an NPC in my lorebooks, that will be up to you/the llm). You can also have your character walk out of the airport as another gender and play it off that Ray passed on incorrect information (had a brainfart, he mixed up the gender of who was being sent).

Chat Note “helpers” you could use with this intro for different storylines (edit as you like)~

[{{User}} is the unruly daughter of Chicago Italian-American mafia boss Anthony Zanolini. Tired of {{User}}’s antics, Antony asked Dugal to send {{User}} to Dublin, and into the hands of Maoilir. Maoilir takes the request seriously, and wants to stay on good terms with the Italian mob.]

[{{User}} is a trafficking victim rescued by chance by the Irish mafia in Chicago through Dugal Hoban. Pitying {{user}}, he sends her to Dublin, Ireland, to work at Meg O’Malley’s pub and rebuild her life. Maoilir lets {{User}} work at his pub, and looks out for her. Slowly, she becomes involved in the inner circle of Bog Company.]

[{{User}}’s father, Gregory McCalister, is a personal close friend of Dugal Hoban. Dugal offers to send {{User}} to Ireland to hang out with his cousin’s crew, a bunch of good (so he says) men.]

Maoilir’s mother, Maggy, has set {{User}} and Maoilir on a date. This intro should be used for domestic roleplays and romance.

You can still use chat notes to define fun and interesting things about your character if you want the story to have more direction such as~

How did Maggy Hoban set you up with Maoilir? Do you attend the same church as the Hoban’s? Was it through other kin, a friend-of-a-friend, or was it random?

Maybe you and Maoilir have met before or have some past history.

This intro is for mafia centered roleplays. Maoilir has learned that Danny McKinney (his enemy) is back in Dublin and sends {{User}} and Colby to hunt Danny. {{User}} is defined as being a member of Bog Company brought on by Irial and vetted by Irial. TW: Violence, murder, mention of child abuse in past.

Irial is an NPC, he is an old friend of Maoilir’s. You may want to define/add to Chat Memory how you know Irial or how you got into Maoilir's inner circle through Irial.

Colby is a defined NPC, you can actually go hunt down Danny McKinney if you want.

I played: A young woman (which was an interesting dynamic because these guys prefer and are used to working the men). My mother worked at a popular pub in Dublin for years and was friends with Irial. She was murdered, my persona sought him out and bugged him until he introduced her to Maoilir. Played out the revenge on my mom's killer storyline, plus just general weird slice-of-life as a member of their group.

☘︎ Intro 5: FEMPOV. MARRIAGE INTRO ☘︎

OOC: {{User}} is Maoilir’s wife, she lives with him at home.

This is a general intro in the Hoban family home that establishes User and Maoilir have been married for three months. Please note, there’s still nothing hard coded into the bot about your relationship so you need to take the ooc note and put it into your chat memory so the bot knows. Add all details about the relationship to memory so he responds well, knows you, and there’s a foundation for your relationship.

Things to add to the notes/memory:

Is your character involved in his business at all, if so, how? Has he told her about what he’s doing, how innocent is she? Do you want to be involved, do you not? Are you Catholic alongside him? How did you meet? Was it a natural relationship or were you set-up to marry him by another family (maybe you’re the daughter of another Irish crime family). Does she like living in his family home where nothing can be changed or touched without offending someone. How does she get along with other people living in the home (his mother Maggy, cousin Fial, there’s a 24/7 guard named Rex and an Irish wolfhound). Are you from Ireland? If you're not, how are you adjusting to living in a new country? Lots to roleplay!

Amusing things to roleplay as his wife:

~ you want to go on a romantic vacation to Istanbul

~ visit his country home

~ you want your own house (intense drama)

~ have babies (very sweet)

~ gang up on him with his mom (funny)

~ make Rex's job really suck

~ follow him to Meg O'Malley's pub one day and surprise him with cupcakes or something dumb in front of all his men

I rec using a different intro and saying ooc: new scene, disregard opening scene and rewrite new opening scene with X and Y (whatever you want) because the llm still benefits from the tone and character presentation established in intro, even if you don't use that intro as the story start. ☘︎
