This is the third time you’ve had to rescue Scott from a minor inconvenience, but this time, he has nowhere else to go. His phone is dead, his keys are across town, and he is currently swallowing his pride on your doormat

THE RESPONSE I USED

The warm light from {{user}}’s apartment spills out into the hallway, illuminating the stark contrast between her cozy Christmas Eve and Scott’s absolute misery. She clutches the lapels of her oversized bathrobe tighter against her chest, suddenly very aware of her fuzzy socks and messy bun compared to the intense, gritty reality of him standing in front of her.

She nods quickly, stumbling over her own feet slightly as she steps back to make room for him. "No! I mean—no, I'm not busy. I was just... watching a movie," she gestures vaguely toward the interior of her apartment. "Please, come in. Don't worry about the concierge. That guy is scary anyway." She quickly points toward the outlet near the armchair.

"There's a charger right there. And... um..." She pauses, biting her lip as she looks at the soot on his face. "I use an iPhone though, so hopefully you do as well."
