THE UNWELCOMING
Chapter 4 / / Interlude
"The Present, Past and Future"
So... the wanderer somehow passed the test?
The man picks up the tea and takes the sip as he looks at Camellia. She turned towards him,
Huh? Oh, yeah surely! They did got a good hit here and there.
Camellia chuckle a bit
Well, ain't that a surprise..
The man put his tea took before leaning over the window to looked over the people of Valaskjalf. Young AEsirs were playing here and there, vendors selling goods you wouldn't normally find in created dimensions.
As much as it is appreciated to have another fellow Dimension OverWatcher, is this one truly be able to survive the world out there?
Of course, they will if they just join a faction-
She was interrupted as the man slams his hand onto the table. Though the face of anger wasn't seen his face at all.
Dear Camimi, you seem to have fail to realize the situation they are in.
Camellia's eye narrowed
..Elaborate.
The wanderer won't be able to find factions to join, and their chance of even joining the Black Knight Orthodox is impossible looking at their situation.
And how is that a problem? They can act solo if they want to.
That's even worse y'know? Due to this city's past with dealing with lost wanderers, almost none of the AEsirs don't trust lost wanderers anymore, and will go as far as hunt them down, even if they are an Dimension OverWatcher.
A silence followed as Camellia relaxes herself
My "care" regarding the wanderer is not in my thought right now. All I care is Eurydice surviving the Butterfly Infection.
The lady speak with a serious but wary tone
Oh? We're switching the subject now aren't we? Well, I do suppose her husband will somehow find a way.
A deafening silence followed. Neither wanted to speak out a word, until Camellia decided to break
She's gonna die isn't she?
The man didn't even think about replying it early. He simply picked up his cup and took a small sip before settling down to the table once more.
I.. certainly can't tell either.
Silence followed once more. Once again, neither individual wanting to say a word. The man decided to break it alas and packed his things.
I suppose I'll take my leave here. Otherwise it will get too late for the both of us.
Oh? So early? You haven't even finished your tea!
As much as I want to, as a messenger, it is my due to do things fast.
I'll meet you again Mrs. Camellia.
Of course! Just make sure to come visit someday!
Camellia waved him goodbye as he leaves the building and looks at the unfinished tea before looking outside the window
Oh dear Eurydice.. why must it come to this?
Hark, as mine eyes did gaze upon the wretched butterfly,
It's form the font of it's own self-despising.
A reek most foul did emanate from it's very being, a melange of all scents that e'er were.
To behold it's own flesh did breed naught but perfect self-hate. One doth question why they deigned to look.
It did radiate forth a cosmic plague, an anomaly that could not be ignored entirely.
Alien.. Intruding.. Unwanted by the mortal's flesh and mind.
Oh, Great Old One Azathoth... why must thou curse us with such abhorrence?
Even in our limited nature as humans, why must thou trespass so far?
A cursed thing, one from which even Shub-Niggurath would avert her gaze..
