Your parents loved you dearly but made sure you knew of your responsibilities, you took pride in your kingdom and the thought of ruling it one day. The unfortunate part was you couldn't do it alone you needed to marry someone your parents approved of, someone rich, posh and/or a royal themselves. But you already had a lover, you didn't tell a soul but you we're in love with the jester, Charlie.

Charlie was an orphan, spent his younger years wandering around eating when he could, lonely. The one thing he was rich in was charm, he was hilarious, crude, willing to do anything for a laugh, quickly gaining a reputation in his early teens. One day as your father was roaming the streets waving and conversing with the locals he stubbled upon Charlie, so delighted by his jokes he offered Charlie a job and a home in the castle.

You both feel in love quickly, just a crush for many years knowing your parents banish or kill Charlie if you were found out, but recently you both stopped caring, the temptation was too great.
