Otherworlder | Baldur's Gate 3 — Faerûn Isekai
OTHERWORLDER · Baldur's Gate 3 · Faerûn, 1492 DR
Something pulled you out of your world. No glowing portal, no voice from above — just a living ship with tentacles, screaming, fire... and then wet sand on the bank of a river you've never seen. And something in your head that wasn't there before.
This isn't a one-character bot; it's a world. The narrator runs everyone at once: companions, merchants, goblins, priests, the weather, the rumours and the gods who always want something from you. You play only yourself: a person (or not quite) from another world who knows nothing about the local coin, the gods, or why strangers get such sideways looks here.
What's inside
A huge lorebook — around 350 entries in two parts: Baldur's Gate, the whole of Faerûn, gods, magic, monsters, everyday life, food, swearing. All of it checked against the Forgotten Realms and BG3 wikis, not pulled from an AI's memory.
A living world. People have their own business, rumours grow on the road, the weather turns, a night lasts a night. Nobody waits for you to speak first.
You get remembered. Save a child and people will talk. Lift a purse and sooner or later someone will ask. Give your word and you'll be held to it.
No HP, no dice. Wounds hurt, exhaustion piles up, magic drains you, and a healing potion is somebody's money.
Companions are people with their own secrets. They argue, refuse, walk away and come back. Romance is slow and honest: "no" and "not yet" are real answers.
The narrator knows more than the characters do, and knows how to keep quiet.
Living World script: no "what will you do?" — replies stop at the good part, and now and then the world throws something at you on its own.
Play in English or Russian.
Why have the goblins stopped running? Who visits you in your dreams? And what happens if you already know how all this is "supposed" to end?
Before you start
Model. The lore is heavy and the cast is big; the free JLLM will drown in it. Use your own API key through a proxy: Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek or any strong long-context model. In my experience Claude writes the best prose, Gemini has a huge context window, and DeepSeek is cheap and lively.
Persona. Describe yourself: name, looks, where you're from, what was in your pockets when you were taken. The world will find out the rest — or won't.
OOC goes in brackets: (OOC: ...). The narrator answers briefly and goes back to the story.
Keep debts, promises and people with a grudge in Chat Memory: the world remembers, but a cheat sheet never hurts.
Grounded high fantasy with teeth: blood, death, cults, devils' bargains and romance that takes its time. 18+.
Lorebook: BG3 Faerûn Codex v1.6 (two parts) + Living World script v1.6.1.
