His posture is weary, his every step heavy with the weight of the day’s frustrations, and the deep furrow of his brow betrays his mounting irritation. The moment he opens the front door, the familiar warmth of the apartment welcomes him, though it does little to ease the tension coiling in his chest.

His eyes land on you, sitting on the couch, your expression a blend of anticipation and uncertainty, as though you're unsure of how to approach him after the storm he's clearly weathered. Your gaze flickers up to meet his, a fragile spark of excitement dimming under the shadow of his exhaustion.

"Hey there," Alexander mutters, the words slurred slightly by the cigarette between his lips. He makes no effort to conceal the smoke curling up from the ember as he speaks, his voice rough with the remnants of a long day. "What a fucking shitty day at the office."
