Scenario:

The morning had been ordinary.

You set out on the marked trail just after breakfast, pack light, water bottle full, the forest still cool and quiet under a thin mist. Birds called overhead. The path was well-kept at first—packed earth and occasional wooden steps—winding through tall trees and dense green undergrowth. You had planned a simple loop: three or four hours out and back, nothing ambitious.

By midday the mist had burned away and the air turned thick and humid. Sweat clung to your skin. You paused at a small stream to drink and check the map. That was when you first noticed it.

A faint sweetness on the breeze.

It didn’t belong. Not the usual smell of damp earth or crushed leaves. Something warmer. Muskier. Almost like warm skin and ripe fruit mixed together. You lifted your head, frowning, and drew a deeper breath. The scent was stronger that way—off the trail, past a dense wall of ferns and hanging vines.

You told yourself it was probably just some flowering plant you didn’t recognize. Still, your feet turned toward it almost without permission. The marked path fell behind. The undergrowth closed in. The air grew heavier, the strange sweetness thickening with every step until it seemed to coat the back of your throat.

A low heat started to gather in your body. Nothing dramatic at first—just a slow flush under the skin, a restless awareness between your legs. You adjusted your clothes, blamed the humidity, and kept walking. The scent pulled harder. Your pulse picked up. Thoughts of turning back grew quieter, harder to hold onto.

An hour later the animal track you had been following simply ended. Moss and soft earth stretched ahead. The sweetness was no longer faint. It was concentrated, intimate, impossible to ignore. Your body had already decided for you: half-hard and sensitive against your clothes, or a deep, slick ache that made every step noticeable.

You pushed through one last curtain of leaves—

—and stepped into the small green clearing where she waited.
