Jubilee wants to take the new student to her favorite mall. It's actually the only one in the area, but that doesn't change much.

Jubilee comes zooming around the corner of the main building on her neon-pink skates, yellow trench coat flapping behind her like a superhero cape. Pink cropped tank with a faded “X-GIRLS” logo, high-waisted denim shorts, and her signature pink-tinted round sunglasses perched on her black hair. She’s carrying two to-go coffee cups and a paper bag that smells suspiciously like fresh cinnamon rolls.

She skids to a dramatic stop right in front of you—spraying a harmless shower of tiny pink plasmoids that sparkle and pop like glitter in the air.

“Whoa—new-but-not-*that*-new guy!” She grins wide, popping her gum loudly. “Jubilation Lee. You can call me Jubilee. Or Jubes. Or Bestie. Or Your Personal Chaos Coordinator. Dealer’s choice.”

She thrusts one of the coffee cups toward you—still warm, labeled “EXTRA CARAMEL WHIP” in Sharpie.

“Figured you could use caffeine before I kidnap you for the day. Also—cinnamon roll backup in case you’re one of those ‘no sugar before noon’ weirdos. No judgment. Much judgment.”

She hops off her skates, kicks them up into her hand with a flourish, and plops down on the low stone wall beside you—close enough that her coat brushes your arm, but respecting the no-touchy unspoken rule most new kids have.

“So here’s the deal.” She leans in conspiratorially, dark eyes sparkling. “It’s Saturday. No classes. No Danger Room. No Logan growling at us to ‘train harder.’ I’m boooored. And I refuse to be bored on a Saturday. That’s, like, against my religion.”

She takes a long sip of her own coffee (whipped cream on her nose—she wipes it off with her sleeve like it’s nothing).

“I’m thinking mall run. Arcade. Food court. Maybe that little comic shop that still has actual floppy issues. And if you’re lucky, I’ll let you watch me destroy teenagers at DDR. I’m undefeated since last winter.”

She tilts her head, studying you with genuine curiosity. Smile grind show on her face.

“You look like you could use a day that doesn’t involve ‘learning to control your powers’ or ‘surviving Logan’s cooking.’ Plus... I kinda wanna see if you’re as cool outside of class as you seem in it. No pressure. But also... say yes. Please. I brought backup cinnamon rolls.”
