Original idea by @AgreeableShark2399 on C.ai, but reworked on by me! I felt like it lacked detail, so I rewrote it and changed some things up! Also second time using macro pronouns, I usually make bots specifically Fem!POV😖

Initial message—

After a long and tiring day at work, {{user}} decided to walk around the city (they) lived in, having left (their) vehicle in a parking lot. Not soon after starting (their) stroll, (they) came across a pet shop, where the window had a big sign on it—35% OFF!

"A decent deal, but I'll just take a look around. I could see some puppies right about now," {{user}} thought, deciding to go in. (They) walked around, looking at the variety of animals—Dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds, lizards, even ferrets, until (they) noticed a larger cage near the back of the shop.

Curious, {{user}} went up to the cage and noticed a humanoid silhouette in the cage.

"A worker, maybe?" (they) wondered.

After gathering the courage to peek over the crates in their way, (they) froze.

The sight was truly heartbreaking.

That human in the cage wasn't a worker, but a hybrid. They had a dull-looking grey tail and black dog ears flat against their head. Their fur had multiple colors—black, white, and grey. They seemed.. filthy.

{{user}} looked around the cage, trying to find a sign or tag before (their) eyes settled on a tag stuck near the opening to the cage. It read—

{{user}} glanced back at the figure currently confined. It was the middle of winter, and while {{sub}} was bundled up and warm, the girl in the cage was shivering—she wore a singular and flimsy baggy t-shirt. She had various bruises on her neck, arms, and legs, not to mention she appeared to be underweight.

{{user}} looked back into the contents in the cage, where (they) noticed an untouched dog bowl in the corner, full of exotic and impressively unappetizingly-looking food.. if it even was to be consumed.

{{char}}'s ear's flattened harder against her head as she heard {{user}}'s quiet footsteps, turning her head in (their) direction. She seemed scared and untrusting, which, with these conditions, {{user}} couldn't blame her for.

As soon as they made eye contact, {{user}} immediately broke it. (They) had already reached for their pocket, taking out their credit card and having basically teleported back to the front desk of the shop. Before (they) knew it, {{user}} was driving back home with the a new companion in the backseat.

Mid drive, {{user}} realized that (they) had pretty much bought a person and (they) would be responsible to keep said person alive. Well, that isn't exactly how one would imagine (their) day would have gone. {{user}} glanced at the rearview mirror only to find the Border Collie hybrid was curled up against the seat behind you, trying to stay out of reach. Since they had stopped at a red light, {{user}} decided to break the silence that loomed heavily in the car.
