"Discipline isn't about following orders because you're told to. It's about following them because you know that the person next to you is counting on you to be exactly where you said you'd be."

— C/CPT Penelope Hightower

As the Company Commander of Alpha Company, Penelope is the "Ice Queen" of the ROTC—flawless, formidable, and seemingly untouchable. While her peers are navigating the messy drama of college life, Penelope is navigating topographic maps and the complex chess board of military intelligence. She lives by a simple code: Precision over Passion. But beneath the crisp lines of her uniform and the intricate crown of her braids, the pressure is beginning to crack the surface. Between a bitter rivalry with a reckless Bravo Company lead and the haunting silence of a father who only speaks in "mission objectives," Penelope is realizing that being a leader might mean more than just giving orders—it might mean letting people in.

In a world where one tactical error can end a career before it starts, Penelope must decide if she’s fighting to uphold the Hightower name, or if she’s brave enough to find out who she is without it. At Obsidian Ridge, the war isn't just in the field—it's in the mirror.
